Lorena Morlote, a Santander native who has always aspired high thanks to her big dreams and ambitions, is a professional who began at the age of 16 in the world of hairdressing and today, has become a fundamental reference within the sector both nationally and internationally. Her knowledge and experience have led her to manage two establishments located in the very neighbourhood of Salamanca in C. Velázquez, 69 in Madrid, and in Avda. The public that comes to 'Lorena Morlote Multiespacio' is very varied, going both men and women, highlighting demanding people, who are looking for a personalised, different and quality touch. The aim of the famous Beardburys ambassador is to create art and beauty while her clients enjoy a unique experience where they have everything they need to take care of themselves.

On this occasion we had the opportunity to interview her in the dressing room of the GOYA Awards between hairstyle and hairstyle, representing Beardburys for SOYBARBUDO magazine.

READ ON, WE'LL TELL YOU THEIR STORY!

Nickname you are known by in your team

In my team and my closest friends always call me 'Lore'.

A virtue and a defect that your team defines you by

Well, the qualities that stand out most about me are LOYALTY, HONESTY and above all, PATIENCE.

Which product is a must in your salon?

Of course you can't miss the Beardburys 'Volume Powder' (Hover), it's like a fetish for me in my life.

What is your 'star' product at the GOYA Awards?

For us at the Goya Awards, the must-have product is the 'Boomer 2in1 Hairspray' for extra strong hold, as we need to make the hairstyles last for 4 to 6 hours, so we have to give the hair a lot of strength.

What is your favourite GOYA Men's look?

Totally gelled hair. For me, I think that gelled hair is vital, and for that we always use the 'Strong' wax, a product that marks the hair well, well, well and above all creates that wet effect which is what the celebrities are looking for.

What's your favourite look from the women's GOYAs?

Water waves. For me they are fundamental, it's a hairstyle that is very elegant, and above all it's very classy.

What do you look for most in a celebrity look?

I think what I like to highlight the most is the naturalness with which she's going to go that day, but at the same time it has to be very sophisticated. That is to say, a natural but very marked look, that is to say, as I said before, waves for example is a very natural hairstyle, but at the same time very elegant.

What is the predominant style at the GOYAs?

The up-do. Every year we see how this hairstyle is the one that predominates in the female stars, because it is the most comfortable, once you put your hair up, you forget about everything.

As for men's styles, casual hairstyles always predominate, where they prefer matte finishes above all. Although sometimes these looks are predetermined if they are under script or shooting a film, so they have to wear a style that is already marked.

What tips do you recommend them to keep their style INTACT?

We always recommend that you take an extra strong hairspray to your dressing room afterwards, such as Beardburys 'Boomer 2in1 Hairspray', to touch up a bit before going out, and to fix those strands or hairs that may have come loose.

A song in the background while you create your looks

My favourite background music to listen to is songs by French singer Indila, which is what motivates me the most when I'm working.

What is the food you replenish your energy with at the event?

Time is scarce, so sometimes we have a coffee and little else because of the amount of work during those hours.

QUICK TEST

When it comes to styling, which do you prefer, beard or moustache?

Beard

Straight or curly hair?

Curly hair

Long or short hair?

Long hair

Classic and elegant look or bold and risky?

Of course the bold and daring one

And finally... If we were to add a category in the GOYAs for best male hairstyle, who would be your winning actor?

I can't pick just one (laughs). My winners for best hairstyle are Álvaro Morte (Professor in 'La Casa de Papel') and Martiño Rivas (Marcos in 'El internado' and Carlos in 'Las chicas del Cable'). They were also recognised as the most elegant of the gala. Long hair, combed, but with a touch of punk. A perfect effect for this kind of galas that we achieved backstage.
