Every man has his own shaving style, likes and dislikes. And surely you yourself, friend of Beardburys who is reading this, would be able to give us a lot of tips on how to shave.
That's why, even though we know it's impossible, we have tried to summarize in 8 points the most basic tips for a perfect shave.
1. HOUR
Do you normally shave first thing in the morning? Well, congratulations because that's the best time of day to shave. After waking up and getting a good night's rest, the muscles in your face are more relaxed and the blade glides more easily.
2. CLEANING
It is obvious (or so it seems) but no less fundamental. Before shaving it is very important to have washed your face well. Not only will it refresh you, but it will also remove sebum and impurities and help the shaving not to irritate your skin. Did you know that we have a perfect beard shampoo for it? 3. USE HOT WATER
What water do you use for cleaning your beard? The water you use to wash your beard and face, as well as to rinse it, must be warm or hot water. Why? Because warm water will allow the pores of the skin to open up and, consequently, the beard hair will be softer; this way you will get a smoother shave.
4. THE BRUSH
Don't just load cream or foam on the brush and spread it on your face, you have to rub it gently all over the area you want to shave. The brush is important because its bristles exfoliate the skin and massage it. This makes it more flexible and allows the blade to glide over it better. Let's do it!
5. LET IT WORK
Do not shave after lathering your face with shaving cream or shaving foam. These products are not only used to glide the razor over the skin, but their ingredients act on the hair, softening it so that it can be shaved even more easily. Leave it on for several minutes.
6. TOP BLADE
The choice of a good shaving tool is probably the most important point. There are many types: razors, shavers, disposable razors... disposable razors are safer and cheaper, but also more aggressive on the skin because they have several blades.
7. HAIR DIRECTION
Ideally, shave in the direction of hair growth from the sideburns, and then a second time in the opposite direction. Take a close look. Although it should be noted that every man has different directions of hair growth.
8. HYDRATION
And finally, once you've shaved, you have to give it the finishing touch: rinse with cold water to close the blood vessels and apply our moisturizing after shave. This will keep your skin fresh and soothe any possible irritation.
