INTERVIEW WITH VÍCTOR REYES

Today we have the pleasure of sitting down to chat with one of our Beardburys ambassadors: Víctor Reyes, barber at the two Víctor Reyes Barbershops in Madrid. A barber with drive, ambition, and a roguish style that leaves no one indifferent. We talk about the day-to-day challenges of barbering, how he has experienced his professional evolution, and what it means to him to be part of this family.

1. What do you like most about being a barber?

Dealing with customers and seeing them leave our chocolate factory feeling empowered and unique.

2. How did you get started in the barbering world?

Well, it all started with a proposal from some friends of my parents, who offered to teach me everything I needed to know to be a good barber at their barbershop.

3. What do your barbershop customers value most?

Good service, cleanliness, and a pleasant atmosphere.

4. How do you see the world of barbering today?

I see it as a sector that has grown and been quite exploited over the last 10 years and will continue to grow, becoming a fashionable profession among young people.

5. What prompted you to set up your second barbershop?

Well, ambition took hold of me and I wanted to expand my vision of barbering so that as many people as possible could enjoy this experience.

6. What advice would you give to someone who is also considering this career?

Well, don't think it's going to be easy. You have to work hard and put in a lot of hours. It can be difficult, but it's not impossible if it's really what you want and desire. Just believe in yourself and you can do it.

7. What is the most challenging thing about working in a barbershop?

Dealing with the public. Just as there are customers who become friends, there are others who are difficult to deal with.

8. Favorite Beardburys product and why

9. What do you like most about the brand?

Its philosophy and vision. I've known the brand for eight years and have grown and evolved with it, and it has made it easy for me to do so. I've been an ambassador for a year now, and it's an honor to be part of this family.

10. What does being a Beardburys ambassador mean to you?

Well, it's something special, I can't really explain it. When they asked me, I was a bit shocked because most ambassadors, not just for this brand but for all brands in general, have many more followers, but I'm proud that they have trusted me for who I am and how I express myself. So it means a lot to me that this is the first brand that has trusted me and what I do.

11. What made you decide to join the Beardburys family?

Well, at first I was drawn to the image, and as I got to know the brand a little better and tried the products, I liked everything I tried, which is something that hadn't happened to me with other brands, so I chose them because they deliver incredible results.
