Ilia Topuria has been motivated since he was a child by his dream to be the number one fighter in the UFC. With his goal set, he has managed to carve a path for himself in contact sports thanks to his discipline and ambition that have encouraged him every step of the way to his goal of being the TOP.
Born in 1997 in Halle (Germany), he started out in the world of sports at school in Greco-Roman wrestling, and a few years later moved with his family to Georgia, where both Ilia and his brother Alex continued to practice and train in wrestling.
When he was only 15 years old, Ilia moved to Spain, and started practicing Mixed Martial Arts in the gym of his city, where he began his career as an athlete and also as a personal fighter.
In 2015 he debuted as an MMA fighter in local fights, where his attitude, determination and perseverance began to be perceived, which years later helped him to get the black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu with his brother.
From this moment on, his career expanded exponentially, entering the UFC Top 15 in 2021, and becoming a reference in his sport.
And currently, he is among the best featherweight fighters with 14-0 victories, of which 6-0 are in the UFC, and no defeats, after his last fight against Joseph Emmett.
His philosophy of life and personal growth has become the reference for many fans and athletes to continue on the same path to success.
